Thin film evaporator model 36-144. Used Turba Film Processor wiped film evaporator. Scraped surface area 106 sq ft. Model 36-144, serial 35463EA, mfg number A4128. All contact surfaces are 304 stainless steel. Has 2 sections, designed for steam in jacket. ASME MAWP shell FV at 400F, jacket 150 psig at 400F. Nat'l Bd# 925. Driven by 40 HP motor 1182 rpm in/260 rpm at dryer.
- ***Capacity depends on moisture and feed***. In general this evaporator can evaporate 30 pounds of water per hour per sq ft surface area. This evaporator has 106 sq ft surface area so it should be able to evaporate up to 3,180 pounds of water/hr. It was operating on lecithin (gums) drying and was doing 10 TPD (833 #/hr).
- The jacket passed hydrotest April 2023.
- Physical size 36" dia x 144" tall for 252 inches OAH. Weight of dryer only empty 13,200 pounds. Parts of a 3-stage steam ejector barometric vacuum system are available As Is - On pallet

Design train capacity is 92 GPM, distillate flow 83.95 gpm. This converts to 44,457 lbs/hr water evaporation. Price includes manual valves and selected ss304 and ss316 piping manifolds, and structural foundation for evap vessel and deaerator. Ladders, grating, and access steel also available.

### Oil Dryer - Vacuum Dehydration Unit ###

Evap Rate up to 23 lb/hr water**
This DeHy is a flash tower with condensate/receiver and vacuum system. Capacity feed content is designed for 12 to 21 gpm feed oil (5,492 to 10,000 lbs/hr) with up to 0.25% water and will dry to 0.02% water - based on soy oil modeled as a triglyceride. System consists of feed heat exchanger, a flash tank, a transfer pump, a pre-condenser, receiver tank with transfer pump, and a 10HP liquid ring vacuum system. Flash tower is cs 16 inch dia. Dehydration Unit is used to remove the water from your feed oil. When hot feed oil is exposed to a high vacuum, the water will flash into water vapor and be removed by the vacuum system. This system is skidded - removed and ready to load. Loading fee may apply depending on customer requirements and destination. See complete dehy design specs in attached file (link).
NOTE: This unit only has 31 working hours on it and was in working order in a biodiesel plant when idled in 2018. It has been moved outside to a laydown yard in 2023. Unit will need reconditioning. The manufacturer, Wintek, still supports this unit and can recondition it in their NJ factory.

## Molecular Sieve Dehydration Unit (MSDU) ##
For drying liquid phase alcohols or solvents by molecular sieve dehydration. Wintek Model MSDU-M02.05, serial 110401.
The unit is steam regeneration, 600 volt, 3 phase, 60Hz. The capacity is 2 gallons per minute. Includes a 10HP vacuum pump and a 1HP transfer pump. Complete system wired and piped, mounted on skid.
- Operation
This Liquid Phase MSDU Design passes a liquid stream of wet alcohol or solvent through a column filled with molecular sieve beads in a process known as molecular sieve dehydration. The bed of sieve beads adsorbs water molecules from the liquid as it passes through it. This occurs due to polar attraction. The internal surfaces of the molecular sieve adsorbs more of the water as the bulk liquid flows through the column. This continues until the molecular sieves are at capacity, and dried alcohol product (or solvent) exits the column. This process continues until the sieve becomes saturated with water, at which time the molecular sieve must be changed, or regenerated. Molecular Sieve Dehydration (MSDU) can provide considerable energy savings (up to 50%) compared to distillation
